Youth Mentorship Program
Fugue Theatre has created a Youth Mentorship Program to aid those youths from less-advantaged communities to develop an appreciation for the performing arts. We believe that the adolescent years are the most crucial in establishing positive attitudes towards becoming fully-actualised adults. Our Youth Mentorship Program is geared to building on the usefulness and enfranchisement of the pre-adult.
We contact several schools and work closely with teachers and students. Anywhere from 1-6 students are selected in a work placement setting during production. Students attend rehearsals and help with various tasks, guided by a professional. The professionals are usually the director, stage manager or producer. Students receive credit for their time and commitment.
